 Help Plan for the Future

Your student has many choices to make throughout high school and college. You can help your student by encouraging him or her to establish a career goal and pursue further education. Encourage your student to learn more:

 Financial Aid

Putting a child through college can have a large financial impact. Fortunately, there is financial aid available to help families manage the costs.

The federal government is the largest provider of aid. To be eligible, fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually, starting in January of your child's senior year.

The FAFSA measures a family’s ability to pay for college by looking at income, assets, and other factors. Providing this information is the easiest way you can help fund your child's education!

For help filling out the FAFSA, don't miss Alaska College Goal Sunday, held in communities across Alaska in February.
